  Listening to Night Shift Part I you might have the impression that Italo Disco, imagined as a moustache-equipped, relentless dancer in a tank top, had never gone to sleep. Living from twilight to dawn, its alchohol-infused breath goes along with the unmistakable throbbing synths that Gino Ritmo and Ricci Verace peppered over the tracks of their first release. This is not a "nostalgia operation": it is a rough and intense distillation of the nocturnal life, seen and experienced from an apartment situated at the core of Zurich's nightlife, where the album was produced. Italo Disco never got old, it just grew eyebags hidden behind teardrop glasses worn proudly in the middle of the dancefloor.
  
  Whispering words float over pumping beats in a tenacious hug. Stringiti a me, abbandonati, the voices say softly: hold on to me, and abandon yourself, as we are asked to enjoy the Sapore Amaro - the bitter taste - of a redefined "Dolce Vita" adorned by streetlights' flashes. Or, by the reflections of always spinning disco balls hit by harsh strobo flares, casting shadows on tiredless bodies. Night Shift Part I is intimate and fierce, like Italo Disco, as the night itself. People who don't sacrifice the darkest hours for dormant recovery will surely acknowledge that.
